Development of a cost-effective tube furnace as a combined debinder- and sintering-furnace for additively manufactured metal components (EcoMelt)
Duration: April 1st, 2020 to September 30th, 2022
XERION BERLIN LABORATORIES GmbH is involved in a project to develop a cost-effective tube furnace as a combined debinder- and sintering-furnace for additively manufactured metal components as part of the “Central Innovation Program for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (ZIM) - Cooperations under the patronage of the project sponsor of BMWi, AiF Projekt GmbH.
The aim of the innovative project is the development of the new ceramic tube furnace as a combined debinder and sintering furnace with an innovative binder separator in the form of a cooling finger for the targeted removal of the released binder as well as the development of the EcoMelt furnace prototype
The cooperation takes place with the Technical University of Munich and Stenzel MIM Technik GmbH.
This project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag.
